Why our programs work
We solve connected problems through connected programs.
A water point cannot transform a community if people cannot maintain it. A school toilet cannot protect dignity if girls lack menstrual health support. A child with a disability cannot participate fully if the school, home, and public systems remain inaccessible.
That is why Maji na Ufanisi connects infrastructure with community participation, behaviour change, gender and disability inclusion, institutional strengthening, research, advocacy, monitoring, and sustainability.
Our goal is not simply to complete activities. It is to help communities build systems that continue creating value after a project ends.

Turning SDG 6 into a human learning experience.
Grade 5 students met Vision Sisters, a women-led community organization in Kibra whose successful WASH facility, peacebuilding, enterprise, and resilience demonstrate what community ownership looks like. The partnership helped students understand that responsible advocacy begins with listening.
