Why fiscal sponsorship exists

A practical bridge between US generosity and Kenyan community projects.

Some American donors, family foundations, corporate-giving programmes, and donor-advised funds prefer or require a United States charitable-giving mechanism.

Maji na Ufanisi uses fiscal sponsorship for selected eligible projects so donors can support defined work in Kenya through an appropriate US-based pathway while keeping the legal and tax position clear.

Fiscal sponsorship does not make every donation to Maji na Ufanisi tax-deductible. It applies only to eligible gifts made through the designated fiscal-sponsorship route.
501(c)(3) Fiscal Sponsorship

Clear wording for American donors.

The tax treatment depends on how and where the donation is made.

Important United States tax information

The problem you help solve

When school WASH fails, learning and dignity suffer.

Poor water, sanitation, and hygiene conditions affect health, attendance, concentration, confidence, and safety.

Children miss lessons because of preventable illness.
Girls face additional barriers when menstrual-health needs are not met.
Teachers and pupils lose time when water access is unreliable.
Unsafe sanitation undermines privacy and dignity.
Education suffers. Health suffers. Dignity disappears.
