Inclusive WASH for Able Bodied Children and Children with Disabilities

Why This Project Matters

New Hope School is the only school in Bogo Bogo informal settlement, Mombasa County, Kenya. You can help upgrade it for every child.

Children with disabilities cannot access toilets or classrooms. Able bodied pupils also learn in an unsafe environment. Sanitation is poor. Classrooms lack ramps. Toilets are not friendly to children with special needs.

Your support creates a school where every child belongs.

Your funding helps build:

  • Accessible toilets designed for children with disabilities

  • Handwashing stations for all pupils

  • Classroom ramps for safe movement

  • A sanitary and inclusive learning environment

  • A pilot model that encourages national adoption of inclusive WASH standards

The Change You Create

  • Equal access to education

  • A healthier learning environment

  • A model for county and national adoption

  • Renewed hope for families in Bogo Bogo
