Why This Project Matters

Mwiki Primary, Kiambu County is overcrowded and unsafe. Toilets are broken. Water access is limited. You can change this.

Mwiki Primary has 4,965 learners and 85 teachers. The pupil toilet ratio is severe. Many facilities are unsafe and unhygienic. Girls lack proper menstrual hygiene. Pupils miss school because sanitation is poor.

Your support helps fund:

  • Construction of 50 modern toilets and 10 handwashing stations

  • Rehabilitation of 54 old latrines

  • Distribution of reusable sanitary towels to 1,870 girls

  • Underwear for 1,890 boys

  • Training for teachers, pupils and the community

  • Reliable water connection to the school
