During 1998-2007, MnU invested heavily in the Arid and Semi-Arid regions that comprise 85% of Kenya. Through building capacity of local Community-Based Organisations, MnU worked in Marsabit, Garissa, Kitui and Taita Taveta to improve water harvesting for food security, livestock and household use.
Thus, in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene services: in Public Health Promotion; and water for food security, MnU has established a strong institutionalized system to enhance program implementation and sustainable services.
